Grammy's Visit

Drew's mom came to visit for a couple of days, and we had a great time! We always love having visitors, and grandparents are the best kind!

DAY ONE. We checked out the Texas Natural Science Museum at U.T. It was fun and free and had lots of cool fossils and taxidermy. Lilly's favorite part was counting all the stairs between floors.

(Lilly saw this sign and started singing the song about the alligator snapping the monkeys out of a tree.)

DAY TWO. We went to Story Time at the library, ate yummy Round Rock Donuts and did makeovers at home.

DAY 3. On our last day together we drove down to New Braunfels to meet up with Lilly's cousins, Dylan and Madison, at the children's museum.

We stopped for lunch at a cute little diner/antique store.
Lilly ate most of Dylan's pancake, and Dylan ate a bowl of ketchup.

This was our best group shot of Grandma and all the Grandkids.
(Because Dylan is actually in it.)

The girls showed some cousin love:

And then it was time to go!

But not until a friendly stranger helped me fish my keys out of the car. . .
What an adventure! A HUGE thank you to this guy, the restaurant and the neighboring dry cleaners for their team effort. They turned my big disaster into a little dilemma with smiles and good humor. I felt so lucky and blessed. Not to mention the other kind stranger at the children's museum who got two of us in for free with her Groupon.
People really are nicer down here in Texas.

  1. Love! We had so much fun, all the way down to the stranger fishing your keys out of your car. Lilly is SOOOOO sweet, I have a feeling she and Madison will be great friends. And she can hold her own against Dylan?? Perfection. We must get together again soon!

  2. Looks like fun! Yeah, the five cousins (so far) would really play great together -Lilly can be a good little mommy for the baby girls and Dylan and Archie can be wild!
