Christmas was wonderful. Utah was wonderful. Two weeks of no work was wonderful. And having Drew around all the time was priceless. Let's just say it was a great trip. Soooo great that I couldn't fit it all in one post, so I'm giving Christmas it's own special post. Here goes . . .
Christmas Eve morning, we got together with my dad's brother and his family for some fun gingerbread house constructing (i.e. candy eating).
And we finally got the snow we'd been hoping for just in time for Christmas! We let it collect during Lilly's nap and then headed out for some sledding.
My dad and Drew were proof that little boys never grow up.
We topped off the night by getting to skype with my brother, Marc, who is serving an LDS mission in Thailand. (Our Christmas Eve was his Christmas morning.) We were all very glad to see our favorite brother/son/uncle, if only for an hour.
Then it was Christmas!!!
We started with breakfast and stockings, and then moved on to the presents.
Lilly was very careful when she unwrapped her Knuffle Bunny books from Daddy.
She's made him read all of them to her every night since.
She got lots of other fun presents, too.
Lilly enjoyed opening her presents, but she seemed even more excited to assist everyone else in finding and opening their presents.
When all the presents were unwrapped, she headed out on a walk with her Grandparents.
Grandpa let her borrow his hat.

Grandpa let her borrow his hat.
And he finally got to build her the snowman she'd been requesting for weeks. I think she was in love . . .
Then it was off to see the animals at the neighbor's farm.

Followed by some trampoline fun.
