Lilly gave up diapers this week, and gained an obsession with princesses and puppies. She also replaced her sweet and obliging disposition with that of a stubbornly independent toddler. Some days I think that if I hear "NO! Mine! MY do it!" one more time I might go crazy. But then again it is cute how much she wants to be independent, and how proud she is to succeed. Just as I'm fuming with impatience, she gets the task done, smiles, exclaims "I did it!" and makes it totally worth the wait.
Also in "big girl" news, Lilly has decided the last couple nights to sleep in "Grammy's big bed" in the guest room. And she has great ideas at meal time when I ask, "What do you want to eat for lunch/dinner?" Her answers vary from "ice cream" to "chocolate chips" and back to "ice cream," because princesses can eat whatever they want, right?
Well, I'm just fine with her being our little princess, but she might need some instruction in how to wear her crown.
She is so cute
ReplyDeleteThank goodness she's stubborn. Because frankly she simply cannot be practically perfect in every way!!
