Grama and Grampa

Lilly LOVED having her Grandma and Grandpa here! We had a great time playing around the house and at the park, and she got spoiled with lots of gifts and love. She is especially fond of her new little Elmo. She talks to it and feeds it and sings with it. Speaking of singing, she is learning songs like crazy now! She even sang us a couple songs I had never taught her; she said she learned them in nursery!

(In addition to gifts from Grama and Grampa, she also got spoiled from afar. She loves her new princess shoes from Aunt Michele!)

My dad bought her a Curious George book, and she is obsessed with it.
(She cried when we left the house yesterday, threw Elmo on the floor of the car and said, "I wanna go home!" I couldn't figure it out, but when she calmed down enough to talk to me, she said "I want George! I bring George, too!" Oops. Apparently Elmo and George are supposed to stick together.)

We spent Friday and Saturday on a fun side trip to San Antonio. We explored the Alamo and the Riverwalk, and Saturday morning we took Lilly to the Children's Museum. Drew and I got treated to a night out, so we went to a bar to watch the coolest musician we know, Drew's Grandpa Wayne. He really is very talented and super entertaining! We also enjoyed our cherry 7-ups. But the best part was that my parents slept with Lilly in their room, so we got to sleep in as late as we wanted! Of course I was out of bed at 830, but the point is I didn't have to be!

Playing airplane captain at the Children's Museum!
On our last day together, we took Lilly to Zilker Park to ride the train. I think she thought it was pretty cool!

Monday night, Lilly and I dropped Grama and Grampa off at the airport. Lilly was sad and said, "I wanna go airplane, too!" Goodbyes are always hard, but at least this one was easier knowing we get to see them again at Christmas!
