This Little Home

On Monday we celebrated 3 years of marriage with burgers and shakes, a round of mini-golf, a thunderstorm (precisely timed to start just after we finished golfing), a quick stop at Target, and a few episodes of "Community."

Basically, we're not fancy.

And that's okay. Because while we love traveling and exploring and doing all those "exciting" things together, the bulk of our lives is not spent in a sprint. And Drew's the best sort of person to take on a long walk-- steady, kind, resourceful, funny. . .
I'm not one to gush about love, so I won't. But I'm happy, not just happy, but really truly deeply happy, in a way that I never was when I was alone, or even during our first two years.
The glitz and the glamour have faded, but the substance of our marriage, and the family of three that we've become, is even more beautiful. And, like I said, we were never that fancy anyway.
