Busy Busy

This week I survived hospital orientation for my new job! I am going to be working PRN (~24 hr/month) in the North Austin Medical Center ER. I'm excited to start my ER orientation shifts next weekend! It was nice to be working again, knowing that Lilly was happy at home with my mom. They had so much fun together! We were all sad to say goodbye to Grandma Berbert on Saturday. . .

This weekend we are enjoying listening to all the great General Conference talks. Well, some of us, Lilly slept through most of both sessions. .  .

We also had the most productive Saturday ever!
Yesterday morning we did a little landscaping to try to brighten up our very sad yard. We added edging to this half of our backyard to match the other side. My mom gave us this plant, so Lilly has something to look out at while she's eating.

We put together our 72 hour kits! I decided to start doing this every conference weekend. It was a lot easier than I expected, and a lot of stuff we already had. It just took some organizing, and a trip to the grocery store. Hopefully we will never have to use them, and we'll get to enjoy all the snacks during a future conference weekend.

I made the rest of Lilly's costume! It took about 5 minutes to cut and iron some fabric onto one of her white onesies. It was almost too simple.

And we finally put the floating shelves up! (By "we" I mostly mean Drew)
After weeks of having blue painter's tape on our empty wall, this is a very welcome sight!

I really like how they turned out, and I'm excited to get the rest of our books unpacked.

Now we can enjoy the rest of conference in our more finished living room!
