Saturday with the boys

Lilly loved having Grandpa Berbert here this week! She loves to play outside, and so does he, so they were a perfect match. He even braved two days alone with her while I was at work.
On Friday, Dad left to Dallas to meet up with my brother Marc for the BYU vs TCU game, and on Saturday they returned to spend the day with us! Lilly had lots of fun playing with the boys!

She was excited to see Uncle Marc!

It was pretty cold in the morning, but that didn't stop Lilly from begging to go outside.

We played in the yard while my dad made this path to our backyard.

Lilly liked her new chair.

And she liked watching Drew and Marc throw the football.

But she liked throwing it herself even more!

Lilly's new favorite hobby is looking at our neighbor's dogs over the fence.
She wants to do it ALL DAY LONG, and will point outside and say "doh! doh!" for dog.
She also says "tch, tch" for tree, and "sh, sh" for shoe. Basically all she cares about is getting her shoes on so she can go to where the trees are and see the dogs.

Look, Mom! Grass!

Just chillin' . . .

Drew and I ran to the store and came home to find my Dad trimming the tree by himself. . .

Pretty sure this is not how this ladder was meant to be used.

Fortunately no one was hurt, and we now have a very large bush in our yard.

Lilly got an early birthday present. She loves playing in her new sandbox!

After lunch we headed to Pfluger Park so the boys could play frisbee and Lilly could swing some more.

3 big monkeys and 1 little one.

Also, this tree's circumference was equal to the wingspan of my Dad, Marc and I combined.

And we ended the day by watching the Round Rock Bats flying out for the night. There are 2 million bats that live under this freeway overpass (just a couple exits past our house)! This picture doesn't really do it justice. The bats just keep coming and coming. They fly around like crazy under the bridge and then circle out and form a line that looks like vapor as they get further and further away!

Yay for family and fun Saturdays!

  1. How fun! I am getting more and more envious of your weather... if only we wouldn't get wet and cold playing in our yard... maybe we'll just come live with you from Nov-March every year!
