Teeth

I finally enlisted Drew's help and got a couple pictures of Lilly's new teeth . . . along with a bunch of pictures of Lilly's mouth, tongue, lips, blurred face, hands, etc.

This is the best one. Her bottom right tooth came in second and involved a night of her crying in her sleep every hour or so. I probably should have gotten out of bed and given her some tylenol, but it's hard to think straight when you're half asleep. Plus her eyes never opened, so I would have felt bad waking her up and making her swallow medicine. Right? Right? (I'm still feeling a little mommy guilt.) Really, since I had to wake up at 5 for work, Drew took baby duty. I just remember hearing her cry a few times and then falling back asleep. Drew says she would cry, he'd give her a pacifier, she'd stop crying, wait an hour and repeat.  She woke up around 6 (way too early) and was almost too tired to eat. She pretty much napped all day after that, but was back to her normal, happy self when I got home from work at 6. And that was that. She has slept soundly every night since then. She has still been chomping on her fingers and drooling all over, though, so perhaps she has more teeth coming soon?

On a happier note, Lilly got a free balloon when we went grocery shopping at the new Harmon's a few days ago.

She loves it.

We also decided to try on her swimsuit, since we're gearing up for trips to Austin, TX and Branson, MO this month. She's making chubby look good. :)

Lilly can't get enough of standing, and she has been able to pull herself up a few times now. She seems to be getting closer to crawling, too, but she mostly just gets mad and wants to stand up. Most of the time, instead of just pushing with her knees, she goes straight to her feet and hands like she is trying to stand up instead of move forward.

She also claps her hands when she's excited.

When she (and I) get tired of all the standing, this box has proved priceless. It used to be filled with Drew's old textbooks, but he has spent the last few days selling them online. Along with the balloon, the box is the best babysitter ever. I love how little kids enjoy the simple things in life.
(Don't worry, we still stay close by so she can't strangle, choke, or otherwise harm herself)

Drew captured this video of Lilly playing with a ball.
She was so enamored with Drew's basketball, we decided to find her some that were more her size.
You can also see how she loves to pick things up and then throw them back down.
