7 months!

Lilly is another month older and the time is really flying by! She is so different now from the sleepy, quiet newborn we brought home in November. She is really starting to grow up! Since last month, Lilly has had her first illness, gotten her first two teeth, learned to army crawl and become a master "cruiser." She is still the happiest most easy-going baby ever, and an absolute joy to have around.

Lilly's favorite things right now:
  • MOM. She's a big mama's girl. Right now she's like my little shadow, and whenever I sit somewhere she always shows up at my feet. I do hope she gets over her new stranger anxiety, though.
  • Finger foods. She is really good at chewing and looks really cute doing it. She loves cheerios and rice rusks.
  • Clapping her hands when she wants to stand up
  • Her new 2 nap schedule. The evening catnap is no more.
  • Fake coughing when she wants someone's attention. This is also what she does every morning to let me know she's awake. It's pretty silly.
  • Squealing. I didn't know human vocal cords could hit that high a note.
  • Cruising. As long as there is a table, chair, toy, wall, couch, cabinet, etc., she can keep walking forever.
  • Crawling. Ok, so she doesn't really like this, but she can army crawl really well now. I think she's going to find that it's very useful. I think we're going to need stair gates and baby-proofing.
  • Having endless amounts of ENERGY!
Here's Lilly today:

She would not hold still for pictures, so I had to settle for mostly action shots:

  1. I just can't get over how cool she is! She is just so skilled! I love that part where she does circles on the kitchen floor and her cute little hands grabbing the carpet! Oh I just want to squeeze her!
