Lilly's 1st Birthday (Doctor & Duck Pond)

Our baby turned one! We had such a fun day and took way too many pictures. Starting at 5:40 a.m. 

Lilly had gone to bed really early the night before, but mommy had not, so luckily Lilly fell back asleep with me for a little while. Then the birthday fun could really begin at a more reasonable time (after 7 a.m.).

Lilly ate her favorite cheesy eggs.

Then checked out the weather. . . sunny but chilly.

She had to go to her 12 month check-up and get 4 shots, but she handled them like a pro.

We had lunch and Lilly played. She got the crayons out and scribbled this drawing while I was cleaning up!

She didn't seem tired in the morning, so we decided to have a one nap day. It was great! She didn't get grumpy at all. Around 1 she seemed tired, so I carried her upstairs and she fell asleep after one verse of "I am a child of God." It was awesome! 

She slept for 2 1/2 hours, and was all ready for more birthday fun!

So we went to check out this duck pond that is 10 minutes from our house.

Lilly was hesitant to get too close, but she was very curious.

Time to go home for dinner, presents and cake!
