Wow. Is it just me or did this past month fly by?! Lilly is still sweet as always and sillier than ever.
Here are a few more words to describe her:
- Strong- She walks and stands and squats like a little power lifter.
- Talkative- She loves to say "dadamamababadada," etc. Sometimes she just opens and closes her mouth silently to experiment.
- Picky- Not abnormally so, but she's starting to decide what she likes and doesn't like. It's exciting and frustrating.
- Mouthy- As in everything goes in her mouth. Can't wait for her to grow out of this, so I don't have to spend the whole time at the park pulling rocks and leaves out of her mouth.
- Copycat- She's really good at watching what I do and then trying to do it to. I got her to stop eating rocks for a little while because I showed her how to pick them up and drop them or scoop them into my hand. She caught right on, but once I stood up she went back to eating them.
- Loud- We like to sing a version of row, row, row your boat that involves screaming and roaring. She's figured it out and will start screaming before I finish singing ". . . if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream."
- Giggly- She finds humor in the strangest things. Like when we dance to "Electric Boogie" and I say "boogie woogie woogie."
- Playful- Drew and I sent her down a little slide at the park and she would turn around and want to do it again every time she got to the bottom. You could just see the thrill in her eyes! I also got her a couple new balls recently and she loves chasing them around or passing/throwing them to me. She also loves to stack things and read her books.
- Smart- She is so good at figuring out how to do things. She has getting off the bed or couch down to a science, and she's starting to apply the same technique to the stairs. We love to watch the little scientist in her developing.
- Goofy- She thinks it's really funny to take her pacifier out and stick it in my mouth when I'm trying to put her down for a nap. This usually means she's not really tired yet.
- Snuggly- She gives the best hugs! She'll put her arms around my neck and lay her head down on my shoulder. It's the greatest.
- Beautiful- no explanation required.
A few more pictures from my attempted photo shoot . . .(She would not stay still!)
I let her lick my ice cream cone at lunch (yes, I make myself ice cream cones) and she liked it so much she ripped it out of my hands! When I went to get the camera she bit off a little too much; this is her "too cold" face.
Playing with her newest stacking toy:
Daddy was at the library, so she had it all to herself for once.
She loves sitting in her chair:
Trying on mom's clothes while folding laundry:
Drew always thinks she looks cute when she's asleep and takes pictures:
All of those slide videos were great- especially that scooting her bottom forward to go down! That video in the older post where she almost tips over a couple times after standing up is priceless! What a sweet girl! And how wonderful that you typed up all of those characteristics- that will be neat for her to have as she grows up, she can see how much her mommy has always adored her!
