In December, Henry participated in his very first drum recital. He was so nervous about performing in front of an audience, but he conquered his fears and did a fantastic job. :)
He also decided to cut off his long hair and go for his first every fade.
And he participated in his first soccer tournament! A post-season recreational tournament that took his team all the way to the finals in Tukwila, near Seattle.
Back home, Henry started into the basketball season, and Lily performed at a nursing home for her Christmas recital.
We planned to have a quiet Christmas at home, but at the last moment thought why not spend it with family and made a split second decision to pack up, jump in the car and drive to Utah.
As an added bonus, we got to see our Aunty Michele for part of a day before she headed back to Henderson.
We took the kids to the Leonardo Museum in SLC one day,
Spent lots of time playing and hanging out with family,
And went ice skating at the Bountiful Ice Ribbon, before heading back home.
Back at home, we enjoyed a few more days of winter break, and celebrated the end of the year and the start of a new one with our annual NYE charcuterie, chocolate fondue and neighborhood fireworks.
