December: Home for the Holidays

This year we enjoyed a quiet holiday season at home in Maryland. We decorated the tree, hung our stockings, and put up twinkle lights in the living room. We made gingerbread houses from graham crackers, and enjoyed local festivities like the Kentland's tree lighting and ice skating at Rockville town square.

We celebrated the Winter Solstice with a candlelit meal of cheese and chocolate fondue. And we spent our Christmas day at home playing with all our new games and toys, and eating delicious homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning and honey ham and scalloped potatoes for dinner.

Over the holiday break, we went to the new Star Wars movie together, had a bonfire with friends, and rang in the New Year with sparkling cider and champagne at midnight . . .in Spain! I had to work on New Year's day, so midnight in this time zone was not happening this year. :)

Looking forward to 2020 and the many new adventures that await . . .
