Graduation

Drew graduated yesterday! It was so great to see him walk across that stage and accept his diploma cover. We are now a double B.S. family, Drew in Chemistry and Ally in Nursing. Lilly enjoyed being a part of all the action. And it was nice to have my parents and Drew's mom there to share in this exciting occasion. Today is our 2 year wedding anniversary, and we have come a long way since 05/07/09. We are loving life with Lilly and feel so lucky to have such a happy, healthy little girl. We love being married and we love being parents!

We took some pictures at home before the ceremony, just in case Lilly wasn't awake for pictures afterward. She enjoyed playing with Drew's tassel. And she looked beautiful in her new dress from her great-grandma Nekota. Lots of strangers at the graduation commented on how cute she and her dress were. She does sort of demand attention by staring people down until they either smile at her or walk out of sight.

We have no idea whose dog this is. It came running up while we were taking pictures outside the house. I was scared it was going to eat Lilly, but it turned out to be very nice. Lilly's bigger than it anyway.

And here are some more pictures from the rest of the day:
Lilly eating breakfast. Sometimes daddy is a messy feeder.
Enjoying the warmer weather.
Serious face.

Silly face.

She is getting stronger and stronger everyday. She scoots side to side on her stomach and rolls and sometimes pushes up with her knees and scoots herself backwards. It's all very exciting. This picture was posed; she doesn't really get into this position without help. But she loves to stand up and hold onto a couch or table or walk around with help. If you try to sit her down, she'll straighten her legs and keep trying to stand, or she'll grab onto the aforementioned couch or table and try to pull herself back up.

After Drew's graduation we had a little pizza party and a cake for my Dad's birthday. It was fun to have Aunt Brigitte and Aunt Rebekah visiting as well. Lilly was getting tired at this point and refused to look at the camera.

Brigitte sewed these really cute bibs for Jennifer and I, but I don't think she intended for us to be the bib wearers. :)

All in all it has been a wonderful week. We already miss Grandma Wilson, but we're glad she made it back home safely and can't wait for her next visit.
