6 months has turned out to be such a fun age! Lilly is learning and growing by leaps and bounds, and she finally sprouted teeth! As of today, both of her center bottom teeth have broken through. She seems to be handling it pretty well. She's been chewing on her hands, but nothing else really out of the ordinary. The night before last she woke up in the middle of the night upset, but lucky for me I was at work all night! So Drew got woken up, and I got to come home and sleep soundly all morning. :)
Lilly is really good now at walking around tables and couches, and she can even transfer between them if they are within reach. She likes to bend down while holding on with one hand and touch the carpet or pick up a toy she dropped. She looks like a very shaky little ballerina. Even better, she has learned how to lower herself down to sitting instead of tipping over and hitting her head. That means I don't have to sit right next to her to catch her all the time. As far as crawling. . . who knows if she ever will. We try to let her roll around and play on her stomach, but she's way more interested in standing and walking. And if she doesn't like something she's really good at fake crying. She may be an easygoing baby most of the time, but she definitely knows how to get what she wants.
Some recent photos:
Lilly was walking around the table, sat down and couldn't pull herself back up, so she decided to roll around underneath it:
"Help Mom! I'm stuck!"

One of many failed attempts to get a picture of the teeth:
Sometimes I find random pictures on the camera that Drew has taken. I thought I would include this one because he was obviously proud of his egg art this morning:
Recently Lilly has started looking longingly out the window when she wants to go outside. Luckily the weather has been so nice lately that I am more than happy to oblige.
And if you still have time/interest, here's some video of Lilly doing another weird thing with her mouth and walking around the furniture. I added music from The Cars in the background because somebody's Daddy has been obsessed with them lately. Enjoy Drew!
so cute! I love the table playing pics!
