June

We LOVED June, but boy did it fly by. We packed our first days of summer with tons of fun play dates and outings, and then topped them off with almost daily trips to the pool, an abundance of fresh berry-eating and lots of afternoon book reading. Heaven. Or at least my sort of heaven.

Angels included. ;)

One of our last park days before switching over to pools and splash pads:

Henry is now 9 months old, a voracious eater and a wobbly little walker. He has the best smiles, a super contagious laugh, and loves to babble loudly and get into everything. Have I mentioned how much I ADORE little boys?! And to think I used to only want girls. Thank goodness our wishes don't all come true!

The day Henry discovered that raspberries  make super awesome messes. . .

Of course, little girls are just as great, and we are so proud of our little Lilly!
She has been really interested in reading this month, and all the practice has paid off. She is really getting the hang of reading now, and continues to improve every week. It is so exciting! Reading, for me, is such a vital part of life and learning, and it is wonderful to watch Lilly gaining that joy and that ability for herself!
Don't tell him I told you, but her dad may have shed a tear when she read a book to him the other day. Okay, maybe not, but I definitely saw some extra glistening!
Lilly's other loves this month include playing princess, visiting the children's museum, gymnastics, swimming, coloring, and baking cookies.

In other news, I guess we're on a first name basis now.

  1. Your kiddos are just as darling as ever. I can't believe Henry is walking. And Lilly is so stinking smart!
