We usually don't make a big deal about 1/2 birthdays, but Lilly was pretty excited about hers this year.
I guess when 6 months equals 1/7th of your life, a half birthday really is something to celebrate.
Plus, any excuse for eating chocolate frosting, right? Oh yeah, and cake. But mostly frosting.
Besides chocolate and frosting, Lilly currently loves:
reading Elephant & Piggie books,
pretending her life is the movie Frozen,
watching the Magic School Bus,
playing Uno,
and asking when the pool is going to open.
Three and a half year old Lilly is a thoughtful friend and a doting big sister.
She loves painting her nails. And peeling the polish off. And painting them again. And again. And again.
She loves building forts, and taking care of her babies. She even named one of them Henry and snuck him into preschool without my knowledge. (Where she then insisted on letting him have his own chair and helping him participate in the lesson.)
Most of all she wants to be a princess, or a "princess mommy," or a "princess gymnastics teacher," or a "princess preschool teacher" . . .
Luckily she can be all those things! (If that's what she still wants in 20 years.)
For now, she's just working on perfecting her "princess smile."
