This November I had a lot to be thankful for, but family was definitely at the top of the list. I have been extremely blessed in that department, and these kids are my daily reminders.
The week of Thanksgiving, my parents came to visit, and we had a wonderful time playing with the kids, relaxing and eating lots of turkey. Henry loved snuggling with Grandma and gave her the most smiles. Lilly had a magical time with her Grandpa, reading books for hours, playing princess, and lighting up her room with glow in the dark stars and a snowman projecting nightlight.
We also got to take Lilly to the movie theater for the first time, where we all enjoyed watching Frozen. Lilly was literally sitting on the edge of her seat the entire time, while baby brother managed to sleep through the whole movie. Saturday morning we all helped clean the church. This was another first for Lilly, and she thought cleaning windows and pushing around a sweeper vacuum were the best things ever. On Monday, when the weather warmed up, we took a trip to Zilker Park to play and ride the train. After such a great week, it was really really hard to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa, but now we are happily looking forward to lots of Christmastime fun. And to spending time with our Michigan family!
