2 weeks with 2 kids

I thought the first two weeks would be the hardest, but thanks to so much help from my wonderful mom and awesome friends it's been a relatively easy transition. My mom took care of Lilly the whole first week, and kind friends and preschool have given me a few breaks during this second week. Plus tomorrow will be the first day I will have to make dinner on my own since the baby was born! It has also been helpful that I've recovered so much better this time around, and that Henry is such a good eater and sleeper. He is seriously so calm and quiet! I didn't know if I could love a little boy as much as I love Lilly, but I have definitely fallen hard for this sweet baby boy.

Lilly is a GREAT big sister. She loves Henry, maybe too much. She often calls him "my baby," and loves to give him lots of forehead kisses whenever he's awake. He handles her over-affection well. She has been very understanding of baby brother's frequent need to eat, and has still received lots of time with mom due to baby brother's frequent need to sleep. She really likes to sing and talk to him, and is a great diaper change helper. Sometimes it even feels like having a second kid cancels the first one out because they are so good at entertaining each other, those are great moments.

I know the interrupted sleep schedule is going to catch up to me soon, and life will get more hectic as Henry starts waking up more and my schedule begins filling up again, but for now I am just enjoying my newborn and loving being a mother of two.

Here are lots of pictures from our first couple weeks!

Lilly has been learning how to write her name and decided to take a stab at Henry's.
I think she was going for "HN"?
