Lilly:
Lilly took her first official class. It was a parent/child swim class, and she did a great job! She dove under the water, got herself in and out of the pool, blew bubbles, floated and kicked on her back and front, and, most importantly, had a great time doing it!
Plus we're pretty sure her accomplishment is the most exciting because it came with a lollipop!
Drew:
Drew is 2 years into his PhD program and rocking it! Earlier this year he passed his qualifying exams, giving him the go ahead to start working toward his dissertation. He also recently published his first paper! I included the abstract above for those who speak "sciencese."
Ally:
I didn't want to be left out of all the learning, so I took my first two online classes on edX (If you like free learning & want to take cool classes from top universities in your pajamas, you should check it out!). I'm still finishing up my course on Justice, but I did recently complete Intro to Bio. The Justice class was for fun, the Biology class was an act of love for my frustrated husband who works all day on stuff that no one except his fellow scientists understand. I'm proud to say that I can now ask what he's working on and at least recognize 72% of the words he is using. Success!
