Last week Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! As always, Lilly was thrilled. It rained and rained and rained some more, but we had a great time playing indoors all week. When the sun finally came out on Friday, we decided to check out the Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary. All the animals are rescued from private owners, so it's not your typical large zoo with lots of fancy animals (Keep Austin Weird!), but it was the perfect size for Lilly and it was neat to be so close to all the animals.
We got to feed some of the animals, but Lilly didn't seem to like that part.
Luckily, this one didn't need any more food.
We went on a train ride.
And we saw some funny looking monkeys.
Lilly loved all of it.
And to top it off, my parents watched Lilly overnight so that Drew and I could go to the temple and spend the night in San Antonio! We had a great time, and we returned the next day to a happy Lilly, a clean house, and the beginnings of General Conference. What a great week!
