So, the beach was awesome, but the best part of being in Hawaii was getting to spend time with family. Lilly and I got to see my grandma, parents, sister, uncles, aunt and cousin.
And we got to enjoy the pool everyday, sometimes twice a day. It was the perfect break from all the hassles of daily life!
Lilly loved being in the water! Her favorite game was jumping off the stairs into our arms. 1, 2, 3, jump!
Lilly and her friend Umi (you-me) have both grown up a lot since our visit last year!
Lilly gets confused and calls her "I-me."
Lilly had a great appetite while we were in Hawaii. We got Thai food one night and she loved the sticky rice and curry. She also decided to snag a veggie spring roll.
Lilly loved my cousin, Liana. She made Liana follow her all around and do her bidding.
Thanks to Liana, Lilly now knows almost all her colors, and how to unlock an iphone.
Lilly always wanted to know where Tutu was. I would often convince Lilly to go to sleep by telling her that Tutu was going to sleep, too (they both napped in the afternoons). So, whenever Lilly couldn't find her, she would ask, "Tutu sleep?"
Lilly is the first grandchild, just like me, so everyone was having deja vu watching her play in the same house that I grew up in. One of the perks of being the first is having lots of adoring adults at your mercy. Lilly made up this game where people would have to push her down the hall, but instead of starting at the end of the hall, she would wait in one of the bedrooms until you pulled up outside the door. Then she would pop out and jump on.
And here's all the ladies on our last night together!
