July: Wilson Reunion at Bear Lake (Utah Round 2!)

One summer, two trips to Bear Lake! In a funny coincidence, our families planned family reunions for the same place in the same year. Same scenery, different people. :) We had a great time catching up with Drew's family, and expressing our usual shock at how much all the cousins had grown since the last time we saw them. We had lots of fun playing pool and ping pong, climbing many many stairs at Minnetonka cave and paddle boarding at the lake. We also went for a hike, rode slides/ziplines and enjoyed yummy ice cream and shakes. Afterward, we headed to my parents house for a couple of days before heading back home to Seattle.

During the rest of July, back in the Pacific Northwest, we enjoyed what is easily the region's best season of the year. Perfect summer weather with plenty of sunshine, but never too hot, surrounded by flowers, greenery, mountains, and water everywhere.
We enjoyed a front row view of 4th of July fireworks over Lake Union from Drew's office balcony. We took our paddleboards out on Lake Washington, continued to explore all that Seattle has to offer, including a trip to the Seattle Art Museum, and finished out the month with a weekend visit to Camas to see some old friends. Peak summer
