We tried to fill December with as much holiday cheer as we could, knowing we would just be having a quiet Christmas at home this year while I worked through the first few weeks of a new job. (I'll ultimately be working part-time, but committed to full time orientation for the first month.)
Even so, we were able to fit in a lot of festive fun. And we even got some real snow to make the winter break feel extra official.

And just like that, we made it through 2021!
But the truth is, it's been an exhausting and disorienting two years of pandemic survival.
Endless unknowns. Endless changes and pivots. Endless attempts at resilience.
We are worn out, we are changed, but we are hoping for many good things in 2022.
And if nothing else, we will have each other, and that will be enough.
