Our sweet, smart, spunky little Lilly finished up her first year of preschool at the beginning of June! I am amazed at how much she has changed and grown over the course of the school year. She is so much more confident, and independent, and skilled. Still definitely introverted, but much less shy.
And boy did she learn! By the end of the year, all the kids had passed off 60 sight words!
Since September, she has learned all the letter sounds, how to sound out words, and can now read at an easy reader level. She can count to 20, and knows how to count to 100 by 10s. And she has become an excellent tracer and a decent letter writer. Most importantly she has learned how to play and share and be a good friend.
Since one of the girls in the class is starting Kindergarten next year, they had a little graduation party.
Lilly had a blast, and looked super cute in her graduation cap.
Only two more years of preschool to go. ;)
We had a little BBQ with the families, and then the kids performed a bunch of songs.
Lilly and her friend sang a super cute duet.
And at the end of the program they all got a basket of summer goodies and a little diploma.
