Lilly has always had the sweetest, silliest personality.
Now that she's talking so much, we actually get to hear what she's thinking!
She's always full of surprises.
Lately she's been obsessively talking about an imaginary monster she made up . . .
"It's not scary. It's nice monster!"
It's usually pink and it lives underneath her craft table. Sometimes it likes to come out and jump on people's heads.
"Mommy, it's on your head! Get it off your head!"
Sometimes she's surprisingly accurate . . .
"It's not cold, it's windy!"
(While I was complaining about not bringing a jacket to the park.)
Other times she's just really random . . .
"I'm going to Tammy's house all by myself. I'm taking my towel! OK?"
(Walking toward front door with the dish cloth she stole from the kitchen.)
Mostly she's very thoughtful and observant . . .
"I made you a present cake for your birthday!"
(Giving a plastic chocolate cake on a plate to Daddy on his birthday. (Which she remembered all by herself from the day before. I was at work and Drew hadn't brought it up at all.))
"Daddy's strong. Lilly's okay."
(Said matter-of-factly, while taking turns using a pump to inflate a basketball.)
And she's always a goofball . . .
"Mommy, I'm too heavy!"
(Whenever I'm trying to carry her.)
& my favorite:
"My feet are NAKED!"
(Screamed repeatedly after taking off her shoes in public.)
Ha ha! She's too funny! Archie is talking in short phrases a bit lately and it's so fun!
ReplyDeleteI think you should keep her too! And please, please, please post a video of her talking! I think I upset her when you guys were here and I told her I didn't know she could talk...she has the cutest little voice! And I hope that imaginary monster doesn't spend to much time on your head. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lilly, come and play at our house, make sure you bring the towel, ok?
