The Day Dad's been waiting for...

Lilly can finally sit up well enough for Drew to balance her on his hand for a few seconds. I didn't know that this is some weird desire that guys have, but sure enough, when I asked Drew about it a few weeks ago he said he was looking forward to trying it. He got his shot last night. I hope it was everything he thought it would be.

Lilly tolerating Dad.

Lilly is yawning, but I like it because it looks like she is roaring.
Or trying to eat me.

And then she tries to act innocent.

Lilly has been a little off schedule this week, I think she may be having another growth spurt (as if she needs it). She is also awake more often than before, which is fun, but means less time for me to get things done. Don't worry though, she still likes to sleep.

  1. OR she's just waking up more and more for reals. It's always great but a little disarming as you realize (with every infant) how they are slowing truly waking up to their life and therefore your life is slowly changing again day by day.

Oz tries to eat me every chance he gets. We call him our Pteradactyl cause he can sound exactly like one (or how we could imagine one would sound) and because he always seems to be trying to devour us.

  2. Oz is so cute, as are all of your kids. I can't believe you guys are on your 4th! It is crazy how quickly things change with a newborn--there is so much developing to do in the first year. Lilly is all of a sudden so aware of her surroundings and recognizes people. Yesterday she decided she wouldn't take a bottle from my mom anymore while Drew and I were at dinner. She waited until I could breastfeed her. This is bad news because I'm going back to work in a couple weeks. C'est la vie!
